Are you in any clubs? You should join a club. An especially niche club is a good way to find some freaks you like and have regular recurring gatherings with them, usually where you do some sort of activity. I am in a zine club and it has:
- weirdos
- freaks
- old people
- children
- teachers
- librarians
- locals you see everywhere in town
Once you have a club, you will have more people to run into at the grocery store or the bar or a show, which is very nice. You can stand next to each other and ask how the thing they talked about at last month's club meeting went or how their dog is doing and maybe show them some clown photos you collected online.
